ITIN Loans
ITIN loans (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number loan) is a specialized type of mortgage designed for non-US citizens who want to buy a home in the United States but don't have a Social Security Number.
- ITIN stands for “Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.” These numbers are assigned to individuals who pay taxes in the US but are ineligible for a Social Security Number.
- Non-US Citizens residing and working in the country without proper documentation.
- Foreign Nationals who do not qualify for an SSN.
- Spouses of these individuals
- An ITIN loan functions similarly to other types of mortgage loans. Borrowers will qualify based off their verifiable income, expenses and credit history. The biggest difference is the borrower will utilize their ITIN instead of their social security number to verify credit history and income.
